These terms apply to your use of the Otomys website, operated by Otomys Software Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“Otomys”, “we”). By using this site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Use of this website

You may use this website to learn about Otomys, Microvet and pod.vet, and to contact us. You may not use it for any unlawful purpose, try to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with how it works.

2. Information on this site

We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but it is provided for general information only and may change without notice. Prices, features and support arrangements are confirmed in a quote or agreement from Otomys, which takes precedence over anything on this site.

3. Use of Microvet and pod.vet

Microvet and pod.vet are practice management tools. They support, but do not replace, the professional judgement of the practice and its staff. The practice remains responsible for:

• clinical decisions, treatment and advice given to clients;
• the accuracy and completeness of the records it captures;
• its financial records, invoicing, tax and statutory submissions; and
• its own compliance with the laws and professional rules that apply to it.

To the extent the law allows, Otomys is not liable for any legal or financial claim, loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, Microvet or pod.vet, including loss of data, income or business. Use of the software is also governed by the agreement between Otomys and each practice.

4. Availability

We work hard to keep our systems running and have backup and contingency plans in place, but we do not promise that the website or software will always be available or free of errors.

5. Intellectual property

The Otomys, Microvet and pod.vet names, logos, software and the content on this site belong to Otomys. You may not copy, reproduce or use them without our written permission.

6. Links to other sites

Where we link to other websites, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Otomys is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act that cannot be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies when you use the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
